With over 24 years of experience, Mayur is passionate about physiotherapy and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives. He takes a ‘whole body’ approach to managing injuries and focuses on returning those he works with to their chosen movement and activities. He believes that everybody has the capacity to improve, and movement is good medicine.
An avid listener with a caring attitude, Mayur uses a range of hands-on techniques and specific exercise rehabilitation strategies. He also teaches individuals to better understand their condition and improve their self-management. As a result, clients are helped to return to movement, exercise, function and independence in their lives.
Mayur has completed extensive post-graduate education in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Vestibular Rehabilitation. As Director of Thompsons Road Physiotherapy (TRP), he is committed to the ongoing education of the team who work with him.
Having worked in acute, rural and rehabilitation hospitals, as well as in clinical practice spanning occupational health, professional sports, orthopaedics and military physiotherapy in Australia and in the UK, he has extensive experience to draw on. This vast experience has informed his current practice and helps him provide an exceptional physiotherapy service with an inspiring team.
While he loves consulting, his time at TRP is also spent developing the skills of his committed team.

Gordon brings a sports focus to TRP. Having originally studied a degree in Human Movement (Sports Science) at RMIT before completing Physiotherapy at Sydney University, he further developed his skillset by completing a Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Latrobe University. He has been at TRP since 2009, while also working with elite sporting teams.
Gordon has worked as the team physiotherapist for the Melbourne Renegades Women’s Big Bash Team for five seasons, as well as with Cricket Victoria’s Female Pathway Program, and the Calder Cannons Football Team in the NAB League. All of this specialised care and treatment has fostered his clinical interest in sporting and adolescent injuries.
He has an expertise in knee, bone stress and shoulder injuries. His ongoing time in elite sports means he is up to date with the latest rehabilitation practices. Gordon was instrumental in building our Exercise Rehabilitation Program, and implemented our GLAD Program for hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Gordon is well placed to implement individual rehabilitation requirements post-injury, or plan your exercise goals and program for staying fit and healthy.
Fun Fact: Gordon barracks for North Melbourne and could talk cricket all day – even though some of us find that a bit boring! Away from the clinic, you’ll find him running with his energetic red heeler or bowling bouncers to his toddler.

She currently leads the Lymphoedema Service at Peter MacCallum.
Megan is an Australian Physiotherapy Association Titled Cardiorespiratory, Cancer, Palliative Care and Lymphoedema Physiotherapist, a Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, and the Australian Lymphology Association. She is also a Bradcliff Breathing practitioner.

Zoe’s area of expertise is Women’s Health Physiotherapy. She has worked for close to a decade in this field, with women of all ages and stages. However, she has taken special interest in helping mothers return to full post-natal function. She believes in taking a holistic approach to rehabilitation and aims to achieve a balance of hands-on therapy, exercise prescription and education in her sessions.
She takes great joy in helping women get back to their best. Meeting their little bubs is an added bonus!
Zoe completed her postgraduate qualifications in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy and is currently dividing her time between TRP and a specialised Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Clinic.
She has also completed her APPI Pilates Training, and has significant experience in clinical Pilates, along with pre- and post-natal exercise classes. Having a keen eye for detail, Zoe ensures all her clients leave the exercise classes she runs feeling like they’ve achieved something.
Fun Facts: Zoe has a keen appreciation for all things ‘90s – whether it be music, movies, TV or fashion. Be warned, ‘90s tunes are likely to ring out during her exercise classes. In her spare time, she loves keeping fit and going to exercise classes. And sometimes, she just likes to veg out on the couch – with a glass of wine and a good movie.

Jennifer’s work as an Exercise Physiologist in Canada, as well as her extensive background in dance and figure skating, has helped train her observation of human movement, and develop strong skills in teaching exercises for strength, balance, and coordination.
An Australian educated physiotherapist, she also has a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation following joint surgeries in the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle, as well as joint replacement and fractures.
Jennifer works closely with our local sports medicine doctors and orthopaedic surgeons to ensure her client’s rehabilitation is tailored to their specific needs and goals, and that they have every chance of a full recovery with the latest evidence at hand.
She also has extensive Ice and Snow Physiotherapy experience and is the current team physiotherapist for the National Under 18s Ice Hockey Team, the Victorian Women’s Ice Hockey State Team and Melbourne Mustangs Men’s Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) Team.
Jennifer has expertise in Sports Physiotherapy and the management of sports injuries (both acute and chronic) across the spectrum of amateur, semi-professional and national level athletes. She can help regular gym-goers establish a high-quality program for meaningful results in physical fitness. Sarah has experience across a range of hospital and community physiotherapy settings. Her expertise is in Neurological Physiotherapy and Vestibular Rehabilitation.
She now divides her time between TRP and Northern Health as a community Neurological Physiotherapist, where she works with individuals during their recovery process, helping them achieve their goals after discharge from hospital.
Sarah also spends one day a week in an NDIS Orthotic Clinic assisting with walking analysis and choosing the best assistive devices for NDIS clients.
She works closely with her clients, helping them understand their condition and working towards returning to the activities they love. Sarah believes a ‘hands-on’ approach will best guide her clients in finding the most efficient and pain-free movements to help their return to better function.
At TRP, she can be a part of your health care team, by providing Neurological Physiotherapy for conditions that include, but are not limited to: stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord Injuries, balance issues, vertigo and dizziness.

After completing a Degree in Behavioural Neuroscience in New York, Meng’s interest in human biology and rehabilitation led her into the world of physiotherapy. Having graduated from Curtin University, Meng started her career in Perth as a home visiting physiotherapist providing personalised rehabilitation.
Her gentle nature, ability to listen to each client’s story, and the combination of her hands-on skills and therapeutic exercise prescription, have made her a highly effective therapist. She is caring and strives to help individuals reach their physical goals.
Meng enjoys treating those with spinal pain, women’s health conditions and post-surgery rehabilitation.
She has completed additional training in management of scoliosis using the BSPTS-Concept by Rigo (scoliosis), allowing her to provide a specific system of care for adolescents with scoliosis.
Fun Facts: Meng currently divides her spare time between understanding Melbourne and trying to train her short haired kitten.

Having grown up in Bendigo playing lots of sports, Seamus developed an enthusiasm for all things exercise, from gentle rehabilitation to intense activity. He comes to physiotherapy with a strong background in exercise and conditioning, having spent years as an individual and group exercise trainer.
Seamus takes a holistic and empathetic approach to the treatment he offers, ensuring every patient he encounters feels that their voice is heard, and their concerns are responded to appropriately. Fun Facts: Seamus loves his cricket, his claim to fame being that he dismissed both a former Victorian opening batsmen and the number three batsmen for the Netherlands International Cricket Team. Amy has more than 15 years’ experience working as an Allied Health Assistant in a range of physiotherapy settings, from acute and sub-acute care to rehabilitation, aged and community care. She has worked with a variety of patients, including those recovering from injury, surgery, and others managing chronic disease.
Her caring and approachable manner makes it easy for clients to start their rehabilitation journey. Amy offers one-to-one programs prescribed by the physiotherapy team for those recovering from surgery, illness, cancer or for NDIS participants. She also runs rehabilitation classes, which keep clients active and on track.
Working with the physiotherapy team, Amy can deliver rehabilitation programs to suit the changing needs of each client.
Fun facts: Amy loves scrapbooking and spending time with her scrapbooking friends. She is a big John Farnham fan, loves the West Coast Eagles, and enjoys walking her two little dogs with her growing family.
