Exercise Rehabilitation is exercise-therapy that strengthens the body, improves mobility,
balance and movement performance.
We design progressive exercise programmes tailored to you, whether for injury rehabilitation, chronic disease management, sports injury prevention or to keep you living independently.
Whoever you are, or whoever you care for, we can help restore healthy movement.
Our dedicated Exercise Physiotherapy team understand how movement heals injuries, builds strength, relieves symptoms and keeps you moving to do what you would like to do; perform well and live comfortably.
Our priority is to get you feeling better and more confident, supporting you every step of the way. This means our rehab classes are warm, welcoming and truly centred on you.
The start: A 45-60 minute one-to-one consultation with a physiotherapist, who will complete an assessment and build a bespoke programme specific to your condition, injury or fitness goals.
How: Running 40 classes per week, we keep classes small, allowing space for questions and to familiarise yourself with our equipment spanning reformers, trapeze tables, bosu balls, weights, therabands and more.
Routine: We initially recommend a 10-12 week programme for everyone. This allows movement habits to form and ensures you feel the functional benefits of our evidence-based clinical exercise therapy.
Progress: From here you may choose to continue in the exercise rehabilitation program or progress to our wellbeing exercise classes and/or into other community-based exercises.
At Thompsons Road Physiotherapy, our 3 phases of care: Recover, Restore and Retain guides your pathway to better movement and good health. Our suite of services with our Clinic, Rehab and Wellbeing pillars allows for a personalised treatment journey that suites you.
